Anita Dobson – Director
Anita has been working in office administration ever since she left college and started her own bookkeeping business in 2008. When she first started in administration, Anita did not even know how to send an email. These days it is quite normal to find Anita sitting in front of her computer finding new online solutions, building websites, updating Xero for her clients and on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. You would say that Anita has become quite internet savvy, and continues to learn everyday.
She has worked in a number of different industries including building, training, hospitality and pharmaceutical, and has experience using using accounting programmes such as Quickbooks and MYOB. Anita become Xero Certified in 2009, and has since managed to convert all of her existing clients over to Xero. It was her introduction to Xero that opened the door for her to grow her bookkeeping business, and enjoy it at the same time.
Anita lives in Dairy Flat, Auckland with her Fiancée Lance and their little boy Jordin (2), and are expecting a little girl at the end of September. They enjoy the quiet lifestyle of the country (with the exception of motocross!), with the added convenience of only being 10 minutes away from Albany.
Anita also started another business called Publisherz Ltd, that puts together community newsletters with the Pare Publisher being most successful – www.parepublisher.co.nz. Anita says that a lot of people tend to slow down when they have kids, but in her case it keeps her highly motivated!
